I have a pair of Denon D2000 J$ Money pads which I used for less than half and hour. They are in perfect condition, no flaws.

Do you not like them? They get much more softer and comfortable when you break in the padding. Use your thumbs to press around the padding inside for a few minutes every once in a while and the difference is significant.

^ x2. I would try to break these in first, as they (imho) make a big difference to the SQ compared to the pleather stock pads. They also become much more comfortable.
