i am the second owner, i just bought this amp about a week ago and then right after i got it, i was able to got the penguin amp.

i do have the M50 as well. and did try it with the PA2V2, but i use the M50 mostly for portable, so most times i have the M50 plugged straight into my ipod. therefore i cant really comment on the sound improvement...

i use the penguin for my DT770's (the PA2V2 did sound pretty good with the DT770)

No. You're not asking too much. I sold mine for the same price a while back, but it took a few weeks to sell. IMHO, it's the best amp for under $60 in both sound and build.
