Due to funds required for an impending house purchase, I'm on the verge of selling my SPL Auditor amp, purchased in January 2010 from Thomann.
The amp was bought to partner my HD800's and it is indeed a great combination. It is also more than handy with other headphones such as the K701 (ask Acix
).
The Auditor uses XLR-only inputs so if you are using RCA cables, you need adapters to accomplish this. I bought some Cardas ones (55 GBP) which appear to be totally transparent. I've compared my balanced LAT IC-300 interconnects to Townshend Isolda and VDH First Ultimate RCA's via the adapters and performance did not degrade at all as far as I can tell.
Would be looking for £500 for Auditor plus Cardas adapters (current UK retail approx. £660). All gear in mint condition.
