Yeah, my classmates and I are doing a group report on the solar panel/cell industry in India. Specifically, what type and number of employee positions their are for manufacturers, as well as salaries. Any insights or reliable links would be much appreciated.

Are you looking at the whole industry, including retail or just the manufacturing sector?
Most homes nowadays use solar panels to heat up water for daily use in the bathrooms. Some cities use it to power streetlights and even traffic signals. But considering the 8 million plus population of a city like Bangalore (where I am from) the number of folks implementing solar power just for heating up water is still very limited.
I can tell you one thing more, the people who come to fit the unit on the terrace of the house, are no technicians, heck I don't think some of them have even attended school. BUt they are street smart enough to go about their job.

I think just manufacturing, but I'm not sure so I sent my group inquiry. Do you have any in-depth knowledge regarding the positions or organizational structure though? Or how much employees normally get paid? I'm really having a hard time finding this.
