Movie: Kick-ass

Since this is a newly released film, i will keep this vaguely informative for those who have not seen it.

In my utmost honest opinion, this comedy was so ridiculous, shameless, audacious, and compulsive that it was simply brilliant!

This is a film i will add to my blu-ray collection and a film i'll be visiting again soon.

Who else enjoyed this movie, and who didn't like it? why?

Quick summary for those who have never heard of the film.

Sure thing, i've edited my original post to my best ability in order to keep the storyline discreet.

I'm looking forward to this one. The IMDB rating is also fairly high: Kick-Ass (2010)

I really have been looking forward to this movie since I heard it was coming out! I'm excited by the fact that it is getting really strong reviews this early on and peeved that I won't be able to watch it for at least 3 weeks as I gotta go to work

It's a splendid ride, and will definitely make up for all those long nights in slavery.

It was a lot of fun, especially the third act. My one complaint was that the movie copped out. In my book at least, satire should be ruthless. For example, I knew the movie/source material wouldn't go all the way when:

The Kick-Ass D'Amico shot, turned out an imposter. I was hoping the movie wouldn't chcken out, yet kind of knew it would with the whole raunchy, heart of gold vibe.

As an aside, it has been good to see the return of the hard R, with stuff like The Crank Series, Shoot 'Em Up etc. For a while there, I was worried every American action film would be PG-13.

Definitely going to see this with friends. I JUST saw Superbad last week (a little late I know) and thought it was hilariously outrageous. I'm glad the same could be said for Kick Ass.

The name alone says it all!

I'm predicting another fun filled night similar to the experience I had with friends after watching The Hangover. I need to go see Clash of the Titans as well as Prince of Persia when that comes out.

it was worth my $11 bucks

Really, guys? Honestly, from the previews, it looked really stupid to me...

I was skeptical at first myself, but it fully proved me wrong. I really do recommend you give this movie a chance.
