Which IEM would you recommend for Sony NWZ-X1050?
I am thinking of Sennheiser ie7 and ie8.

I've the X1060/IE8 combination, and I love it. Ful warm sound.

I also have the X1060 and some IE8s as well as some UM3x.

I prefer the UM3x.

The IE8 sounds really lovely with the sony X1060. I have that combo and haven't felt any urge to upgrade. It's a very warm sound though, but it sounds sooo natural.

ex700is fine…i find sony casually heavy with its flavor, so i suggest a more nondiscreptant iem…um3x or ue4

If the FX700 is too much money, you won't go wrong with their older sibling, the FX500, this is also a very good match

Well the FX700 shares similarities in its wide soundstaging, and bass depth, but that's about it. They're a large step up in all other areas... treble clarity, extension, instrument layering, and space and air. They make the IE8's sound positively murky. They're not as relaxed or laid back a listen though, and if the music has harshness at all by nature, you can be sure the FX700's will convey it (although treble harshness is not remotely like the FX500's). They don't smooth things over like the IE8's tend to. They're the most detailed, revealing, punchy, dynamic driver IEM I've yet heard. If you like your sound signature dark and overly warm, these wouldn't be your cup o' tea. But I find they pair very well with the laid back nature of the Sony X.

Thank you for a good and short comparison. so now I am thinking of IE8 or JVC FX700 (or maybe UM3X). it won't be an easy choice What about vocals or strings? .

the um3x has the best vocals for a 300$earphone ive heard, the ie8 is better for concerts

I second the FX700 recommendation, they are fantastic IEMs and pair well with my Sony A845, which is similar to the X and has the same s-master amp.

Just one thing to consider before you go for it, they are open phones and offer very little isolation, even a tad less than the IE8. You didn't state that you require isolation, but I thought you should know. (BTW FX500 are the same open design)

Edit: Bluetin and Seyo Shop are both reliable, though Seyo is often slightly cheaper.
