When I listened to the sound for the 1st time, I was hit by it. I was punched by the not-punchy-bass. I was hoping it would offer much better bass response than SE315.. equals to Klipsch Image...

HiFiMAN HE400
By now I think most of us are familiar with the history behind the HiFiMAN HE-series headphones. What started with a single model has grown into a full...
What do you think the L3000 will last?
P.s. People who have this guy probably take care him like a gentlemen (Hopefully)
The pair that I own should last a life time and yes I do take care of them which means they go back into it's original box when not in use. As it was mentioned earlier, headphones can last for a decades when they are treated with care. I've have several pairs of Sonys that are more than 15 yrs old and several pairs of vintage AT woodies that are more than 10 yrs old.
never broke a headphone in my life, although I break iems all the time
This is what prevents me from pulling the trigger on getting some of the IEMs I really want. It's hard when I know that due to my klutziness, I'll snag it on something and ruin a set. I once destroyed 5 in a month
Probably as long as you live granted you keep them in good condition and don't give them any excessive force. Although some might break due to normal use as the drivers might give out, but a good pair will last a while.
I'm only 18 and just got into this hobby last year so lets see how long my UM3Xs last me, granted I don't sell them to get something new lol. I'm thinking all the way through college
Pretty long. My old (from 2001) Sony MDR-V300s are still OK except for the pleather earpads flaking a bit. My wife and two kids both use it from time to time. All my other headphones are still like new.
The only 'phones that had issues were my E4c. The piece where the cord met with the earpiece started corroding. I sent it back to Shure and they gave me a new pair.
never broke a headphone in my life, although I break iems all the time
My ER4P is over 4 years old and still going strong. Built like a tank compare to shure and westone. Not to mention my ER went through two deployments to middle east.
Headphones from Future Shop or Best Buy typically last me anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. My Sennheiser HD600 are over 5 years old and still work perfectly but I did send them away for warranty once because they had slight distortion in one of the ears. This distortion was there from day one but the warranty repair fixed the issue.
