I bought this on 3/31/2010 on eBay item 300407632294. I have no problems with the unit, it works as advertised. I did try using an outboard power supply but didn't notice any difference. One thing, it uses less than 100ma so a 9V battery woud be a good way to test the external PS function. I found the USB interface of this unit sounds the same as my Audiotrak DR.DAC2 DX, but has the additional ability to output SPDIF coax on RCA or BNC, and works just fine from the USB power supply.

I paid $80, it's yours for $70 all in, shipping and PayPal included. If requested I will include the 4-foot custom BNC to RCA SPDIF cable I used for testing.

I measured the power draw when using the external power jack, it was 80-90 ma depending on activity and coax load.
