After 25+ transactions on head-fi in the last 4 months and nearly $4000.00 spent I believe I've finally found a set-up that can keep me semi-content for now. I will add in a decent pair of HD650 for $200 if you buy the amp for my asking price. If you guys know anything about the HD650 on here then you know that the going price for a pair is at least $250-300 depending on the condition of them. This would be a GREAT setup for anyone looking to get more serious into the headphone game.

Alright, first and foremost everything that is added to this unit to my knowledge has been done by the previous owner named, fc911c (which includes all the caps/resistors/PDPS). It has minor scuffs around the chassis, and some scratches where the rectifier go (but when you put in the sexy sophia princess you can't tell they're there). The condition is about 8/10 and 8.5/10 with the Sophia princess in. I am honestly not too knowledgeable with caps/resistors but I will post the exact PM that I received by the original owner after I asked him to tell me what was inside below:
"Hi sorry for the delay getting back to you I was away for a few weeks.
The mods I made are dual psuedo power supply. I changed all the resistors to Kiwame 5 watt. I put in Black Gate power tanks in super E configuration for power supply, also other black Gates non polor, and Mondorf silver gold & oil caps.
The money I spent on the caps is more than you payed for the amp and most of the caps are no longer available.

I've done some research and it does look like black gate has stopped producing caps but there is still a limited stock out there (They were always known for their quality). I'm definitely not a genius when it comes to upgrading and switching out that stuff so I honestly can't answer more technical questions. What I can tell you is that it does sound a bit more robust than a stock WA6 (which I've owned at the same time to compare). It has a deeper lower end, more lower end impact, and has a wider soundstage. Also please keep in mind that if you were to buy this setup brand new it would easily cost over $1200 (Amp = $620, Sophia Princess = $150, Shipping = $50, mods = over $400). Not only that but you would also need a friend who can mod it for you, mod it yourself, or pay a ridiculous price to have someone else mod it for you.

I would love to keep this amp and will probably regret selling it right after I ship it but I could use the money and prefer my D7000's with a solid state amp. Whoever upgrades to this will get a really nice amp that will not need to be upgraded for a very long time. The guy at Woo Audio doesn't upgrade these units anymore (he only offers the upgrade package if you buy the WA6SE which is an extra $500 and the upgrade to that is an extra $450!!). This amp will sound comparable to the upgraded WA6SE for half the price. Not only does it look great but it's built to last as well so don't miss your chance to own one of these modded beasts!!
