Hong Kong through a 50mm

Back in England (just missed that Volcano ash!), took with me only a 30D with a 50mm as I wanted to travel light since it wasn't a photographic trip more a family holiday. Leaving behind my 5Dii and a bunch of L-Glass zooms such as the 16-35 and 24-70. The combo of 30D/50mm was quite limiting for a lot of the time it was quite long but I knew it and it was partly the point, what better way to learn a lens and that focal length (as I am contemplating getting a 85mm for my 5D) than to use it 100% of the time.

So here it is, more in my flickr HERE

Thanks for looking

Those are really great photos, given the limitations.

Nice.

That short-tele focal length is very flattering to people.

I like the shots. Nice to see things from a more natural field of view

Excellent work there. You obviously have an eye for this type thing. Keep up the good work.

Really good work, and yep, those girls must have been happy about the short tele XD

You must have come by last month. But sadly, it's all rainy and ick again this week here...

Nice shots raymondlin, especially the one above...bonus points if he's a complete stranger!

LOL

Awesome photos. I've never been to HK but it looks like an amazing city. Reminds me a lot of NYC.

Thanks guys, everyone above is a stranger, I hardly took any posed family shots in this trip. I left my sister to do that job with her IXUS.

Great work as ever, Raymondo.

You just reminded me. I shot two rolls in HK two+ months ago with a 50/1.2 and I haven't developed them yet...

btw, great shots.
