Hello everyone,

This thread is very interesting, even more so since I plan on purchasing a HA-5000 to accompany my W5000's. I have a question to those who have heard the combo, since many have stated that the HA-5000 are leaning towards providing that analytical and airy sound, which I enjoy but hopefully is not bright or piercing. This is my main concern, with most amps I have tried the W5000's are slightly aggressive and can become sharp, does the HA-5000 help retain that special sparkle of the W5000's while somehow subduing their sound or adding just a touch of warmth? After reading this thread, it seems that's exactly what the HA-5000's do, since some think the combination is just magical. I would like a few more opinions before investing 1K on this amplifier. Thanks,

Good question MikePio.

Btw, does one purchase the Audio Technica amp fit for North American voltage?
