Up for sale is my Eddie Current EC/SS headphone amplifier. For those unfamiliar with this amplifier the EC/SS was a different project for Eddie Current. They concentrate mainly on tube amps but this amp is solid state. However it was built to have a similar sound to their tube offerings and to a large extent they succeeded. The sound is very tube like. with plenty of detail and a nice lush mid. But another characteristic is its power. I've never found it lacking no matter what I plugged into it. It is often mentioned as a great amp for Grado's and that is certainly true. But it sounds great with a variety of headphones. It's a quality amp and the only reason I'm selling is because my Rudistor NX-02 arrived last Friday and I'm not one who needs two headphone amps.

I've said that it's in near mint condition. Though the only reason I say "near mint" is because there are a couple scratches on the top. However they aren't really noticeable unless you are looking for them. Other than that it's in pristine condition. And it operates flawlessly.

Have you compare your amp with a Grado RA1?

This item has sold but no, I have not ever heard the RA1 so haven't had the chance to compare.
