Sansa Clip+ will not switch on since transferring saved .cfg files from PC

I have a problem since saving eq and sound.cfg files on the Rocbox UI sansa clip emulator on Windows XP.

I saved some eq and sound config files on the clip rocbox emulator then transfered the saved config files to my sansa clip+. I disconnected from computer then switched on my Sansa Clip and listened to the saved eq presets then I switched it off. Now when I go to switch my Sansa Clip+ back on it will not switch on. The Sansa Clip+ appears to be dead.

I then try to connect my Sansa Clip+ through USB to my computer but still there is no life.

Have I killed my Sansa Clip+ since saving .cfg files to it from my PC?

Please advise

The exact same thing happened to me but it was the regular clip. Hopefully someone out there knows a solution.

Then I have good news.

I worked this out myself. Just hold and press the power button for about 20 seconds and the Sansa Clip should now come back from the dead and work like a champ

This worked for me.

Wow thanks for posting. If this ever happens to me I'll be sure to do that.

I have a non-related question but still in the technical aspect of things.
if a certain technical problem accures...something like the problem in this thread,or any other software bugs like the clip freezing and stuff...can/would it effect on the sound in some strange way?
or in other words...is the sound related to the software somehow,or as long as the dac chip and amp are fine than there won't be any problem?
i know it is a silly question but I just want to be sure..i am a little paranoid about these stuff.

I have that same paranoia aswell. When my Sansa Clip+ died then came back to life again I was worried that it may affect the sound quality on my player. I played some music on my player after I fixed it and the sound seems to be as good as ever so I don't think it affects the sound as the sound is more or less produced by the hardware chip and amp. Please correct me if I am wrong though.

you are probably right,I also agree with that. my logic tells me that the dac chip and the amp are the most important factors when relating to the sound output, and they are both seemed to be hardware related. although the dac may have something to do with software.
