Hello,
I am selling my stax rig. Peter Rill (a german diyer) built me an electrostat amp based on a design on Index. Its the transistorampversion.

I can send pictures on request.
It has a balanced quad volume pot 1 balanced input and 1 stax output.

Hi,

I was just wondering on the answers to a couple of questions:

What voltage is it wired for? 110, 220, 240 etc?

Have you heard the amp compared to actual stax amps, such as the 727 and 007ta? If so how does it compare?

Hi there, the amp is now set to 220v but it can be switched to 110v. It has a standard computer power cord and an internal regulated psu.
I myself have only owned this amp but head-fier darkless has the tube version of htis amp and was able to compare it to the top stax amps (which are a lot more expensive by the way).
I also think there are some comparisons on the high-amp.de website. The website of the developer of this project.

this is set up for pro bias stax isnt it?

I was reading on the site you can adjust the bias, do you have a clue on how you'd do this? (i'm not very technically inclined)

The amps bias voltage is 600v which is the standard for the jade i believe. It is outfitted with a stax plug and works with all 580v stax phones. I myself have used it with the 404le without problem.
