Alright, also I'm looking into a port. amp. I'll probably get the FiiO E5 but willing to go to 35 I guess if there's something better. Small size needed.

Hey ssavage...

Shane, I listen to mostly rap/r&b. Some other stuff like maroon 5. Also, I have no idea what MP# is or Flac

Oops. MP# is a typo for MP3 (just held the shift key down one stroke too long)

No worries, you answered my questions.

Enjoy the cans! Let us know what you think after you've had them a while.

Alright,
So will the Fii0 E5 be worth it?
I have 90 in the wallet atm but I'm not trying to spend too much on an amp

SSAVAGE...
You are going to love your M50's. I find the bass, mids, and highs to be "perfectly" (ok nothing is perfect) balanced. They add nothing negative to the recording. The only thing that some other cans (that I have heard) do better in this price range is have bigger soundstage - but they are open cans....which is not nearly as important to me as being tonally balanced. These are the only headphones I will never sell. Enjoy.

I don't think you need one honestly. It works perfect straight from a portable player. I know since I've used them with my Auditor.

Will there be any improvement?
with a T3 there hardly is any improvement imho, so I don't think the E5 will do any good

Bump the bass up at all?

I have the Fiio e5 and the M50s work extremely well with them. The M50s are one of the few that I have tried with the e5 that doesn't distort with the Bass Boost on. The Fiio will bring out even more bass out of the M50s. Basshead bass actually. For $20, you can't go wrong with the Fiio e5 with the M50s.

To be clear though, the m50s are worthy by themselves as well.

Or you could boost bass in player's equalizer. Why carry another device with you when you really don't need it? It has plenty of bass without additional amplification.

Indeed. I liked my iMod/SuperMacro rig a lot, but it was really more of a transportable setup than a portable. I eventually learned that the only DAP I was willing to carry around with me had to be Nano-sized or smaller.
