I have a Cowon iAudio X5 whose built-in battery-charging circuit is no longer working properly. The 3.7V Li-Ion batt. is nearly discharged and I currently have no other way to attempt to charge it.
I tried substituting roughly 3.7V of NiMH-based battery power, but the unit does not want to start (the graphics screen flashes but the unit does go into std boot-up).
Is there a way to make NiMH mirror Li-Ion performance?
