FS/FT: Beyerdynamic DT990 Premium 250ohm (Price Drop)

I am changing around my audio setup, so my current gear has to fund the upgrades.

Shipping is included in the pricing. CONUS only. Paypal transactions add 3% or send payment as "Gift." Discounts available for local pickup.

Free cMoy amp comes with whichever headphones sell first! GONE!

Beyerdynamic DT990 Premium 250ohm RETRACTED

These are in great condition with like-new pads. Includes the leather case, warranty card, and 1/4" adapter. I found the DT990s and M3 amp to be excellent partners in crime. A very fun pairing to listen to (which I preferred over the DT990/B22 combo).

Interested in trades for full-size headphones in a similiar class (DT880, HD600, HD650, etc) or various IEMs. Trades may include cash on either end.

M3 with STEPS Power Supply $SOLD

This is a full featured build with:

-crossfeed
-bass boost
-high/low impedance switch
-preamp out
-ALPS volume and bass control.
-3 OPA627 opamps
-STEPS power supply is in a seperate enclosure

There are black marks on one side of the amp which appear to have occured during shipment to me, as seen in the photos. The cable between the PS and the amp is approx. 6ft long.

Grado SR-225 $SOLD

In good condition with the standard "Grado scars" from the manufacturing process. Silver is just starting to speckle on the SR225 buttons, as seen in the photos. These come with 2 pairs of Sennheiser HD414 pads (1 pair unused, 1 pair with about 30 hours), Grado bowl pads, and pizza box.

Nugget Audio Beta 22 $SOLD

A wonderful B22 built by n_maher, whom I hope won't mind that I steal his internal pictures and description of the amp.

"Also, just a few technical details about the amp. It uses the full compliment of matched components, Belden silver plated stranded copper wire for all audio connections, upgraded Muse caps in both the power supply and amp sections, a premium Alps RK40 (Black Beauty, no longer in production, cost ~$100) and IIRC is configured with a gain of 6. The rear panel binding posts are switched from the front panel headphone jack so that when headphones are plugged in the binding posts are disabled, this allows for easy use as both a speaker and headphone amp without having to constantly unplug the rear panel outputs."

"It is a 2-channel version of the amp, some find that the switch to the third channel, active ground setup doesn't yield the performance increase that the 33% price increase (not exact, just roughly speaking here) would make you hope for. I've built both, and find the 2-ch version to sound excellent enough that I can do without the heat and additional complexity and cost. Your amp also has a few nice features, namely the Alps RK40 volume pot which is generally regarded as one of the best analog pots. The kicker is that they aren't available anymore and if you can find one they're $100 or more. Additionally your amp has the upgraded Nichicon Muse caps for the amp and power supply. Also, your amp has switchable inputs wired directly to a rear panel switch to minimize the signal path length, uses a custom SumR shielded transformer and has switched (via the headphone jack) binding posts for driving efficient speakers (94db/W or higher) or the K1000s. All of this is housed in a Par Metals 20 series chassis and finished with aftermarket anodized screws, not the typical stock crappy philips head screws you'll find on a lot of builds."

This amp has dual RCA inputs and speaker binding posts.

Lite Audio DAC38S $SOLD

This DAC used to be sold by Pacific Valve and was highly regarded. Quite neutral with a fantastic soundstage. The first thing I immediately noticed after adding it to my system was the space that appeared BETWEEN the notes and instruments, a blackness that allowed each sound to shine on its own. I was able to briefly compare this to a Stello DA100, and preferred the Dac38. The Stello had a warmer, thicker presentation, while the Dac38 was more neutral with better detail (though I would have been happy with either, they just have different objectives). The only issue with this dac is that the Data LED is dimmer than the other LEDs.

The single-ended/balanced Dac38 has Optical and Coax inputs, XLR and RCA outputs. It uses the BurrBrown PCM1704 chipset.

Here is an eBay listing that has more technical specs:

Hi there,

I know you specified US only, but if you don't ask, you don't get... therefore, would you consider shipping the 990s to the UK?

Thanks
