I have the older Darkvoice 337SE. I have a little hum in mine when the volume is up around 12:00. I notice you have some shielding around the volume pots on this model. Was that done to decrease the hum I have in mine?

If you use low impedance headphone and volume is up around 12:00 or more, you can hear a little hum. But if you use high impedance like Senn HD650 800, no hum with current version.

I feel then this is not for me as I do use low impedance headphones.

To each their own of course. But with low impedance canz, you won't get over 9:30 on the dial.

Designed for Sennheiser AKG.....no hum problem.
If you use it with Sony ATH DENON, you will hear some hum with most of TUBE amp designed for high impedance headphone.

I would like to purchase a 337. I have forwarded several messages but have received no reply. I want to order just not sure of the process. Do I just pay $480 + $ 135 on PayPal or do I need an invoice from you

have you been emailing them or just pm?

Darkvoice has not been responding to my emails either :/

I've been emailing to their address: info@darkvoice-audio.com. I'm eager to get a 337 to drive my HD 650s, but I'm really not comfortable sending money before I can establish communication. I guess I'll wait a little longer

Lovely

You won't be disappointed. I have one of these babies driving my Senn 650s. Amazing bit of kit.

So, can the DV337 accommodate the 6SN7 now (as a 6N8P equivalent)?

The 337 I formerly owned could only use the 6SJ7, which was the ultimate reason I ended up selling it. I always thought that the 6SJ7 was inferior to the 6SN7 (colder and less involving), which was why I also preferred the 336i to the 337.

Just to confirm, this is the new version of the 337 for sale? (the "2009" 337 if I'm not mistaken?
