Rockbox build 3.5 for IMOD - anyone else having problems

Thread Starter
I have a newly acquired 5.5 120 gig IMOD from ALO/RWA. And have been having problems loading Rockbox. I keep getting an 4096 unsupported ... error message. I have tried the latest version a number of times and different ways, but to no avail.

Someone suggested downloading version 3.4 from the link iPod 5G Large HDD (240Gb or so) 32Mb & 64MB Rockbox 3.4+ & patched & more This is going to sound newbie like, hell I guess I am relatively new to this hi fi game, so here goes - how do you install it. I only see one ipod catcher file that installs. The rest do you drop into a separate program file or ... ?

Also as a backup until 3.5 build supports the IMOD 120 G 5.5 version I had been converting FLAC to ALAC, but not sure if I am getting the most out of the source files using dbpoweramp.Because I am not sure of the m4a encoder from Nero is for AAC and ALAC. It seems a bit confusing.

Also when loading the files via Itunes what should the settings be for importing? Apple Lossless, AAC, WAV as I did not see anything resmbling ALAC.

By the way did try converting to WAV and was quite impressed. But I hear that the best is ALAC which is just behind FLAC.

Any suggestions as we all try to reach aural nirvana is much appreciated.
