wanted, E2C's or similar for parts

My excellent sounding E2C's have developed a short at the plug. Since they work fine otherwise I can't see sending them in for replacement at approximately $80 plus after S/H both ways.

If anyone has a pair of quality broken earbuds (shot ear speaker maybe?) that uses the same 3 wire plug, please contact me to discuss. These do have a ground to each speaker (not visible as a 3rd wire of course to the plug) compared to cheaper buds only using 2 wires. Maybe this will work out for 2 headfiers to benefit.

Thanks for reading.

PS, check my feedback if curious.

You should just get the plug replaced....if you can't do it yourself there are many capable folks here that would do it for a reasonable charge.

i can give you a working pair of e2c's with no accessories, case included for $30. Shipping included
lucky if they have done 50 hours. They have been sitting in a drawer for about 3 years doing nothing.

thanks for the advice, and the offer from scotland? Nice of you folks to offer assistance. I was contacted by another fellow headfier that sounds like a pair of shurs are going to be arranged and splicing a jack will not be necessary.

Again, thanks

problem solved

Thanks Ian for setting me up with a fresh pair of buds. I'm back in business.
