IEMs. How much are you willing to spend? And what type of sound are you looking for?

Also, like other stated, I would say that IEMs are generally better overall if you don't mind the possible discomfort that can come with them. If you are in a quiet environment when you listen to music (such as a room or library), I think buds are great but for me, I'm always listening on the go (either in the car, at school in the library, at home or dad's house) so I need the isolation (and generally speaking, you can get better SQ from an IEM).

I don't know if I'll ever go back to listening to earbuds again after getting into IEMs. The sound quality you can get from quality in ear monitors is outstanding and you don't have to turn up your music that loud in order to enjoy it.

well I can only shell out around 6 $ right now, but do keep in mind that since i stay in india, i don't have access to all the brands. A couple of brands that i can get are (for xheao) : Creative, senheisser(hopefully cuz theres one shop at a wholesale market), philips, panasonic, sony.
