Desensitization to normal food? Not health food, mind you, just the good old fashioned food mankind consumed prior to the mid twentieth century.

Why criticize it when it can reduce the American population as a form of natural selection? Darwinism prevails.

I didn't believe this when I saw the picture... It looked like something you'd see on thisiswhyyourefat.com, but this is actually being mass produced? Jesus.

I have to try one of these just to say that I've tried one. I mean, it's a sammich... With two piece of fried chicken instead of bread.

The Double Down isn't much more than a quick and dirty Chicken Kiev variant, with similar nutritional impact.

A bit nonsensical as since people tend to die of heart attacks well after their prime breeding years are over.

Just out of curiosity and not skepticism(i'm being serious in case you think i'm using sarcasm), do you have statistics for this?

Birth Statistics (Census.gov)

Appendix III, See: Heart Disease under Age (CDC.gov)

The vast majority of births are to mothers under 45. The vast majority of circulatory diseases occur in those 45 and over. A cursory inspection reveals that the two groups have very little overlap.

Upon analyzing the data, you are correct, but wouldn't you agree that by eating healthier at a younger age would increase your chances of dying at a greater age?

Agreed. I don't understand all the fuss about the Double Down. There are many food abominations far worse than this.

Absolutely. People would have reproduced before dying of cardiac arrest. Healthier individuals would have longer life spans, but it's very unlikely they would have children in their late adulthood.

Not exactly. It's a highly processed food that tastes like it does because of flavor additives. A re-flavored food-like substance, if you will. A lot of fast food items are far more like soylent green than the actual food they're substitutions for. The backyard tomato that tastes amazing is more nutritious than a supermarket tomato--our taste buds are actually looking out for us, and there's an entire industry dedicated to fooling our senses into thinking we're eating something real when we really aren't. It's not all about calories, fat, and sodium.

Oh and this isn't completely nonsensical. Thanks to epigenetics, your terrible diet could affect your children and their progeny and so on. I don't mean you specifically. I don't know what you eat.

Meat is the new bread.

The only junk food I accept: Dutch or Belgian fries; self made hamburgers, Quarter Pounder (McD.), Chicken Nuggets (McD.); bitterballen.

Döner Kebab owns, Turkish pizza is very nice from time to time and a good pizza is something I don't regard as junk food.

I bet that would go great with rice.

Then again I eat everything with rice.
