Recording Equiptment?

Right now, I'm looking for a mid priced microphone to record from my grand piano, not sure where to go exactly on these forums, but considering most people I've met here are great with audio, thought I'd just ask here for some general suggestions.

Price ranges from $100 - 500

I've been looking to get a recording rig going and all the information I've read points toward an Oktava MK-012-01 (even a modded one) for condenser or a Heil PR20 for dynamic.

I have not used either mic! But plan on getting one or both

Well this is what we're doing
Basically, a bunch of local musicians around my town are getting together to record whatever songs we've learned.

Do help us get our names out there.
Better quality versions as soon as new recording equiptment arrives
