I think I'm going to go the AE route. I use Itunes and thankfully don't have any FLAC. My music is a mixed bag, some Apple Lossless, some AAC, some WAV, but all play through Itunes. I've tested out the Ipod remote and it works very well. Seems like a no-brainer to get the cheaper AE now, and start saving and researching for the DAC in a few months time.
