Heading to Las Vegas tomorrow - any advice?

I'll be spending the latter half of Spring break in Vegas; a grand total of 3 nights. Reservations are already booked for the Vdara Resort & Spa at the newly opened CityCenter complex (figured I'd try something new, apart from the usual Bellagio/Paris hangouts).

I haven't been to Vegas in some while (for pleasure, that is), so any specific advice/suggestions on must-visit attractions, shows, events for the 3-day stay will be well-heeded. Also looking for some great shopping areas, as well as great places to eat, specifically, casual dining at its best. A buffet or two won't hurt. Try not to go overboard with Michelin stars...and unfortunately, no >21 places. Not there yet >_<

Keep driving, or at least, stay off the Strip.

Have fun drinking and chasing hookers.

That's a start - good and bad advice.

Don't gamble.

Hey DeusEx, I'm not really into the shows or anything, so can't help there, unfortunately.

But aside from the normal casino attractions, you might want to head to the Town Square shopping area http://www.townsquarelasvegas.com/ , south from the strip. Nice place to hang out in the day or early evening.

A couple of good bars to visit would be the Artisan and Frankie's Tiki Room, as well as Fremont Street for the Griffin hipster bar and the Beauty Bar.

These are more down to earth places.

Cirque du Soleil stuff is awesome, and IMO the only shows I've seen in Vegas that are worth the ridiculously high ticket prices. Just stay away from Zumanity.

All the shopping is pretty high-end and expensive, but many big hotels have a ton of stores - the Wynn, Venetian, and of course Caesar's Palace all come to mind.

In terms of stuff that doesn't break the bank... that's tougher. The MGM Grand has an Asian place in their casino that I really like. There's a little crepe shop in Paris if you're in the mood. I actually really liked the Hawaiian Tropic Zone - yes, they have ridiculously hot waitresses who participate in a nightly swimsuit contest, but the food was good too.

Last month I was there it was for business so I tried to be as cheap as possible. My friend told me to drive to China town to have food instead of in the Strip. I've never been to China Town before but when I went there, I was stunned how cheap food is. Super delicious meal for 6 bucks.

Orchids Garden on Sahara is the best place for Chinese Dim Sum.

Ughhh......
Going to vegas under age is like growing up in the Vienna Boys Choir to end up in a harem.

Good luck trying to have fun without getting to really enjoy Vegas. There are a lot of side attractions in the strip, do a quick search to see who's playing and what shows are available... but still that in no way makes up for being in vegas and being under 21.

I've seen Blue Man Group twice in Vegas, both times they were fantastic. I would highly recommend them. Go to the Rio Buffet, it is amazing, literally go there with an empty stomach. Check out the shops at Caesar, if you havent been before there's a nice little surprise waiting for you there. Go to the Coke place, you can sample different kind of Coke's from all over the world. Eat a Sweet and Spicy McChicken at McDonalds as it is the only place in the world that serves the delicious McChicken prepared like that. Go to the Ferrari dealership at the Wynn, it is awesome. AAAAhh thats all I can think of right now, I'll add more if something else comes to mind

i would say O at the bellagio and KA at treasure island are worth watching. KA you'll get much better seats at a much lower price, O has most of the good seats purchased by ticket brokers
