Oh ... dooood ... you are so wrong, I'm moving on exactly so that I can bring more meaningful evaluation of gear to the hobby. I worked for HeadRoom before; I work for you now.

cheemo, you just made my day man.

(I'm fairly well known not to like the Grado sound. nttawwt.)

This appears to be great forthcoming news , as HR's capabilities are unique in the headphone field. But I've alwys thought that along with the info, there were glaring issues in how you obtained the results which rendered a lot of it of limited use.

At the simplest levels for example, I'd wondered why Headroom doesn't use a reference human head for positioning calibration when using your HMS - when I rented one it was one of the first things I did when working out my testing method, but sticking different phones I knew to be placement sensitive and comparing them with HR's measurements it was pretty clear that such calibration wasn't going on.

I had no idea you were leaving. End of an era indeed. Whatever you're up to, Good luck!

Hi guys!

Sort of an update here: My new gig is official ... www.innerfidelity.com

I look forward to generating more interest in the headphone hobby, and leading folks to dig deeper by participating here at Head-Fi.

Thank you all for your support over the years, I'm very happy to be in a position now to more directly support this activity.

Far out, I salute you Tyl on your career to make my listening experience easier and better. I'd still love to go trout fishing with you in the headwaters of the Missouri.

Anytime dude, that's just right down the road from me.  I bet we could get Todd to come too.
