Passive stereo summing circuit

Thread Starter
Anyone have a circuit for converting stereo to mono for a small desk radio amp? Only requirements are its passive and only costs a few bucks from mouser or digikey. Just twisting the left and right together doesnt sound like a good idea

Is $10.50 (+S&H) too much?

The Edcor WSM6400 transformer may be exactly what you are looking for.

They sell them all built as the S2M for about $23.

I found this thread elsewhere after googling "passive stereo summing circuit" LMGTFY

You will may need to tweak the resistor values given, they seem correct for sources that can drive 600ohm loads, probably not so good for consumer grade gear.

The rane pages are consistently awesome, and I found them through a different thread found through that search.
link to awesomeness.

Couldn't you tie the two channels together through a couple of resistors?
