I was not able to properly audition them, they were way too loud and the kid next to me kept holding the loud button and shaking his head up and down.

I think if you press it, then the headphone transforms into a robot and destroys all near by competing products.

Hey, if there's one company that could afford a headphone demo that transformed into a robot of destruction it's Monster Cables.
Absurd.... So they're better because... they go to 11 !!

The Best Buy near me has them being demoed right next to Koss Portapros. The sound quality difference between the two is night and day, but I suspect the Dr. Dre headphones are outselling the Portapros by quite a bit.
Does your Best Buy have demos for every headphone they sell on demo?

Yes. The Beats are godawful. Fidelity is sacrificed for bass. Don't bother.

Hmm yea I gave a pair a quick listen when they came out in Best Buy. I was not impressed. Directly comparing to my Equation Rp-21s from the iPod, they paled in comparison (and the Equations can be had for around 80 bucks on Amazon now, they're pretty old).

I have only seen one pair out on the streets in... the mall. Of course I liked how they look (red and black are my favorite colors and I wear them EVERY day , but I would always pick my UM3Xs over those cans any day

QVC was selling this headphone a while back. I laughed as I watched a woman try to concoct somewhat of a knowledge in headphone's.

I have also tried them out from Best Buy. They are completely rubbish for what they're worth. That red button is giving permission to have hiroshima blow up on your earlobes so you can bleed out your ears. It's a trap.

Are you serious? I pressed the "Play it loud, Press and hold!" button and it still was not as loud as the music I usually listen to.

Nope.

I did find it odd that they only had 4-5 headphones on demo out of the dozens they sell and one of them was the PortaPro.
