Flat (ribbon) cables for Custom IEMs

Just wondering what the deal is with these flat or ribbon style cables. Are they any good? They seem interested from a practical standpoint, and I'm assuming the audio can't be THAT bad since they're being used on the Dr. Dre Beats IEMs. (ok, actually, sure it could - but let's say for the sake of argument it isn't)

Has anyone here made any flat cables like this? Any for a custom IEM like the UE10-18 or JH5-16? Do any audio dealers sell these? Any reviews?

I tried flat cable on monsters and I found that it isnt good if your cable goes over the ear. So with customs, it isnt going to be good combination.

cool, thanks Bina. I just had no idea about flat cables in general until I recently saw one. I sounds like an interesting idea in theory, but maybe not workable in practice?
