Mini3 + RB'd Sansa Clip Plus = Hifiman killer?

Before I get shot down, consider this.

Strip a Sansa Clip Plus, put it in the same box as the mini 3. Directly connect the DAP to the amp, re-arrange the buttons and allow the screen to be seen. Remove the volume control from the amp and just use the volume from the DAP. Power wise, share the Amp and DAP between one battery, I'd imagine a Li-ion one would be better, charging could be done through the usb socket as normal.

I have suggested a Mini3, but anything that allows swappable op-amps would suffice. But the Mini3 and Li-ion battery would allow for a much smaller profile.

I have no Idea how would be this sound, but taking from technical point of view, Hifiman has much better dac chip than Sansa Clip and also Headphone amp in hifiman should be better than mini3.

Bina, from the measurements that are available right now the Hifiman doesn't look so great at all..

Where are those measurements? -edit- oh, perhaps you mean the headphone amp specs listed on the head direct page?

You really should post in the place, Head-Direct Premier Sponsor Forum - Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio
I know what you are asking. At the price point, you have something there; mixing price and portability, more options out there.

With the almost generous space of the Hammond, you might even be able to fit separate power sources for each. I don't want to run the Clip off of a 9V, and I don't want the Mini3 to run off a tiny LiPol.

I'd also leave the volume control with the amplifier.
