Can someone name a portable player with this feature...

So I download podcasts and radio shows, and on Windows Media Player I am able to increase the playback speed while not changing the pitch/tone of the show. Any portable players that have any of this functionality? I know on my Fuze I can do slow/normal/fast, but it makes the voices really low/high-pitched.

Thanks in advance,
Alex

Is your Fuze a v1 by any chance (i.e. using a firmware version that begins with "V01")? If so, you can install Rockbox on it and reap the benefits of timestretching and a host of other enhancements. If not, I unfortunately don't have any other recommendations at hand...

So you guys are saying with...rockbox on the Fuze, the M1, and the DPC on the S740, you can just take a file and speed something up without messing w/the pitch?
I do have a Fuze and it's V.01 AFAIK...I'll check on getting rockbox on it soon.

The cowon d2 also does this. i started a thread hear about a year ago looking for that exact feature on behalf of my friend. he's very happy with his d2.

link to my thread, though not much is really said in it: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f15/da...-speed-395133/

I ended up getting it to work on Rockbox on my iPod I had seen timestretch before but it turns out I needed to turn timestretch on and THEN restart the iPod...it works perfectly now.
