Don't think I'll every part with my FX700s. They are that good. They really have opened of with over 300 hours on them. Love the micro-detailing. i2ehan if you love the EX1000s man you'd love how my Open-back denon 5000s sound (full size monster EX1000s ;).

Ooh... I'm all ears! *pun intended* biggrin.gif

I'll most probably be in the market for a full size can sometime mid January, and I'd absolutely love something that resembles my beloved EX1000's flawless signature. I'll definitely keep an eye out for the 5000's, my friend. Much appreciated. smile.gif

That is after the open-back mod though :) Very easy to do and non-permanent to test (although there was no going back for me after testing this mod rolleyes.gif).

This is an older thread and the FX700 is the successor to the FX500.

Thanks, the G10 takes great pics for sure. There aren't many IEMs that can cope with the looks of these JVCs.

What's a G10? The camera? I have no idea, I just grabbed what was lying on the table, haha.

But yes, they're almost as great looking as the HJE900. ;)

I hope the successor's successor (FX900?) will have but a +5db raise on both ends. That would be perfect!

I hope they do release a successor this coming year.  But I wouldn't want the mids to become more recessed.  Maybe something more mid centric, while maintaining the great extension both ways...

Can't agree more, Shotgun, FX700s just need a subtle push in the mids to make guitar and male vocals slightly more forward, for the rest they're perfect!

I meant to raise both ends by only 5db instead of the 10db they have now. I didn't mean additional elevation.

Agreed. And no more midbass peak please (just in case they're listening ;-).

Ahh ok, that makes sense.

So lower the treble and bass by 5 db and keep the mids at present db ratings?

I so want a set of these...to compliment the more well mannered W4.  Is there an updated/upgraded version of these out/coming out (either FX-700v2 or FX-900)?
