Yes, the current iPods have metal casings.
Brought my iPod Classic (7th Gen.) to a radio broadcasting. Due to some sort of an issue with my gained-down music (from around 100 to 89) their system is not powerful enough to get an acceptable volume out of their loudspeakers.
The iPod was on a metal desk. When I picked it up, there was a shock between my finger and the back-plate of the Pod: it was strong enough to kick my finger back a good inch.
The iPod functions correctly for now. I would simply like to know whether such a static shock will negatively affect the Pod... Or any other DAP with a metal casing. Thanks.
