I have been useing my palm tungsten t3 as a ebook reader with great results but thought about getting an ebook reader. So I got the jetbook lite but just didn"t like it so I sent it back. I am now thinking about getting the pocket 360. Anybody into this ebook thing.

I'm rather liking my Sony E-Reader. The e-ink screen is phenomenal for long sessions of reading without killing my eyes. The two things about it that may turn people off though is that in very low light conditions, it can be as hard to read as a regular book due to no backlight, and it isn't in color. However, with its battery life, I have no complaints!

The sony looks nice to my stylistically. But the big Kindles screen looks very attractive. I thinking of getting an e-book reader to force me to read more books (instead of just the web). The iPad won't work, since I'd be flipping over the surf!

I've got a little Kindle, and love it. It also has a nice screen, and wireless downloading of books is a great little feature.

I think the main point to consider is what sources of books you want to use; in the UK, it seems that books in the formats Sony readers can deal with are more expensive than the Amazon format ones. No idea what the situation is where you are.

x2 on the Sony Reader. I have the PRS-600 and love it. And while there is no backlight you can buy a cover with a built in LED light.

Whatever you pick though I think you should go with an E-ink screen. Other wise your eyes might get fatigued over long reading sessions. And the battery life is stellar with E-ink!

The first day it came out here I bought the Sony PRS-300.
I absolutely love it!
Take it with me only my daily commutes, did intercontinental holidays with it, it is great. Strange thing is, I seem to read faster, with less distraction or fatigue from this reader then from paper.
But one cavat: it is only suitable as a replacement for books with black and white text, not for things with illustrations.
For me it replaces the pocket books, romans and novels and so that I used to carry around all the time.

Yep I am a member there. I learned lots of stuff about ebook readers there. That is where I learned about the pocket 360 reader.

I would really recommend you wait a few months before buying a e-book reader.

There are a bunch of new technologies coming out in the next few months. First, there is the Pixel-Qi screen coming this Summer. There are also color e-ink screens that we'll see later this year.

The IPAD is not a e-reader per say (it does not have an E-Ink screen) but I suspect it's launch will eventually lead to a drop in prices of the Kindle, Sony Readers, etc since people will probably elect to buy it rather than a proper e-reader.

So just wait until June or July until making a purchase.
