Please recommend me some Deep Funk - Page 2

hehe, no worries

yes, this "funky hotpants" compilation looks killer, I got it for $5 so that'll be very much worth every cent

I didn't realize the mp3 previews on that site I linked were for all the tracks in full...can't wait to have it in lossless glory, exactly the kind of heavy funk I like.

two other killer compilations are "funk spectrum 2" and "midwest funk", the latter was remastered from original master tapes they had to dig really hard to find...those 2 are real mind blowers, strongly recommended!

John Starks on the drums, Fred Wesley & Maceo Parker....JB shredding his larynx like there's no tomorrow, and a pretty amazing track listing("Ain't It Funky (Part 1 & 2)" for 9 mins , 2 instrumental versions of "Cold Sweat" & "Give It Up or Turnit a Loose")

some more infos: James Brown - Ain't It Funky Now

np! love the opening song on "funk spectrum 2" >> "we can't wait till tomorrow", w/ that killer breakbeat and whiney guitars, and it comes from a very obscure 7" noone's ever heard about
