Looking for an Amp/Dac, sorry guys

Hello

Looking to buy a new Amp and Dac for my system, I have a Beyer DT880/600 and on my way to acquire a ATH W5000

I listen to pretty much everything, but I just have discovered classical music and trying to get my hands on every piece possible. However, that being said, I listen mostly to jazz, some world, a bit of rock, alot of vocals, some instrumentals, etc.

Considering my budget is around 1300, I was looking into the Concerto/StageDAC combo since the my budget is right around my price range, but I did hear alot of people saying that both headphones really require tubes to shine.

This being the case, please offer any advice you have and if possible I would like to ask for solid, reputable amps, versus flavor of the month.
Not a fan of hype.

Thanks

I'm curious to see advice for this too as I'd like to power some DT880/600's. I think I've narrowed down 2 amps: the LDMKIII and the Darkvoice 336, but I'm having a harder time with the DAC. I've been looking at the Musiland 02, LD DAC 1, and a Maverick D1. Those all seem to fit my price range of about $500-600 for an amp/dac setup.

I'm pretty sure you'd get a hell of a lot more interest in your thread if the title wasn't so annoying .

Good luck mate!

The more I look into it, I just wanna say screw it and just jump straight into vinyl. Any suggestions over here, welcome as well.

The thing about the new Audio GD is that they seem very flavour of the month, and while that's not so bad, I would rather purchased products that have been out for some time, so I can get them used. I don't see Audio GD products too often on the sales forum nor on Audiogon

Better components for the same price, its a win/win!

^Oh and thanks for the suggestion

They aren't usually for sale because no one wants to get rid of them
My compass is spectacular, and every review of their other products say that they you get more than you pay for.

and boooooo vinyl

Why apologize? You've leave research. There's no need to.
