Tube rolling on MF X-Can V8 - Page 2

Just replaced the stock tubes with a pair of 6H23N...They give the V8P a nice warm sound with a boost to the bottom end. Very nice synergy with the K701 I must say.

So how do the CCa siemens sound on x-can V8?

I popped in a pair of CCa Siemens tubes little bit less than a week ago, before that I had also used a pair of Siemens/Halske ECC88's. The CCa are super clean and highly focused. The Halske/Siemens are a bit more fun, they have a bit more oomph in the lower end.

Mike is a genius with the Xcans. If you contact him, he can give you great advice on tubes and he has plenty. http://rockgrotto.proboards.com/index.cgi

Also try looking up the Little Pinkie power supply that he makes. Much more beefy supply and really well made.
