I also hate people that borrow money or whatever no matter the value but are not giving/paying back at first chance possible! Maybe he felt like you do now and chose the wrong option?

That said it´s of course not right to retribute like suggested! How about talking to his parents and try to solve it that way?

If you are telling the whole story then that guy has got some major issues to deal with.

There is nothing more cruel than breaking a head-fier's iPod. What I think we should do is get a group of 300 head-fiers and bring the fight to him. Our iBuds will block out the sun.

Sucks that he smashed your ipod but why couldn't you pay back the $15? Times are that tough?

i dont want to be an ass,but you chickned out.if someone smashes my touch,i would have broken his nose in the same instant,no matter how sycho he is.you had your friends with you so they would have backed you up,and if they were really your friends they would smacked the guy before you did.

I had someone 19 years old cursed me and my parents without any reason just bullying(i am 17),i broke his nose and it was a big fight between me and my friends and his friends and we beat the hell out of them.i am not a bully and i only fight rarely but if i have a right,i wont leave it to rest and wont become weak infront of a sycho.

maybe things are diferent in singapore,but you shouldnt leave your right nor you should call the police,that would be an extreme.the guy may attack you again because he will think you are weak so i say stop him RIGHT NOW.

the solution:talk to him and if he doesnt approve to get you a new ipod,fight with him or break his vaio.i dont know what you guys mean by talking to his parents,Nocturnal is a man and he should handle these situations himself.if someone attacked me here in my country and i called his parents,i will lose my friends and respect by everyone.

You could file a police report, and only press charges when he doesn't replace the IPOD. If your "friends" wouldn't like you because of this I would question what kind of friends they are. You give him a chance to make right, and if he doesn't..his fault.

The harddisk might still be usable, have you checked this?

Sorry mate, but I would have broken your ipod too if I was in that situation. Don't borrow money unless you can pay for it. And an excuse like your exam fees,after your recent posts regarding failing, cramming, and coming here starting random posts (not really random, but more a long the lines of unhelpful and useless posts eg. "is it ok to drink a certain amount of caffine") instead of studying etc...., simply don't cut it. In fact that would probably enrage me even more, I might have even broken whatever headphones you had on hand..

"hey do you mind if I borrow $15? you're loaded I'm sure its ok"
-"sure just pay me back whenever"
"Hey I have the $15, but I'm saving up to pay for my examfees because I failed my courses. I gotta run, I have to go cram for my exam but I'm going to make sure I post on some headphone forum to waste a couple of hours of my time so that I can get some really good studying done in the middle of the night instead and spend the $15 I owe you on caffeine instead. I'm sure you won't miss the $15, you are loaded, I'll pay you back later"

You keep stating you felt helpless, but how helpless did he feel knowing you had his money and squandered it away due to your poor decisions?

I also find it extremely odd that you would borrow money from a psycho. So I'm assuming you are actually either friends (well at least was friends) with this guy, or you are psycho yourself. If you aren't friends with him, then you were asking for trouble. If you are friends with him, then you were asking for trouble based on your decisions and reasoning for not giving him the money right away (see above), and if you are psycho... you now have a psycho friend to talk to.

Well again, you seem to be a bit irresponsible. If you didn't have the ability to give him back his 15$ and in addition to that you knew he was unstable (which I don't take your word for it) the it's your fault.
