Now you have completely lost me especially regarding an issue that clearly could have been dismissed as my previous post had attempted.

Listen, I read FatMom's post stating: "5th gen ipod with rockbox" but then I had originally believed that the OP was only considering SS/Flash due to the speed so that's why I responded: "i'm sure he meant ssd"..because the 5th gen ipod is HDD..which least to say; is still valid.

So what is this supposedly I'm not understanding...are you thinking that I don't understand that Flash/SSD operate on the same bit capacity?

Giving it a total of 48Gb at one time but allowing you to swap SDHC cards for as much space as you want.

It also plays -8 .flac files without a hitch
I saw just now that the new 32Gb from SanDisk will be $200 SanDisk unveils 32 GB MicroSDHC Card | TechFever Network | The Hot Tech News and Gadget Network

I will also wait for the new Cowon J3 to see what it's like. I have had a couple of iAudios and been happy with them, so maybe that's the one.
I will read the S:flo2 thread. Seems interesting soundwise, but a bit buggy... Where can I buy it?

But, an iAudio 7 with 64Gb would be ideal. The form factor is perfect. Oh well...
You can get the SFLO:2 here

Nationite S:Flo2 16GB 3.5 Touch Screen + Beta Brainwavz [sflo2_16GB_BETA_preorder3] - $169.50 : MP4 Nation!, :: Low Priced MP4, MP3 Players and the latest scoop on the newest MP4 Player

It not all that buggy, especially if you browse music by directory and have your music in artists folders, and the actual files in album folders within the artist folders.

I will only use the DAP for listening to music, so I am primarily looking for memory size and SQ.
A small form factor is nice and I am not a fan of flashy UI's and big screens because my DAP is mostly in my pocket, hidden away.
But if what I am looking for only comes in bigger physical sizes, then I guess I have to consider it.
You can have small size 32G or even 64G from Creative X-Fi2,it plays flac and comes with memory slot.It has slow interface and not so high price!Cowon D2
is much better, but its capacity is lower;however - it uses big SD cards,so
simply:16+32=48,not enough?You can keep it in shirt pocket,I think - D2+
is the best solution, timeless design:ugly forever, but you will hide it in your pocket!

Thank you, Yes, I found that after googling a bit...
You think the Beta Brainwavz are worth the extra $10?
Well, that's the way I am keeping my music stored on the server at home. It works fine with the Squeezeboxes and also for DAP's.

I understand that the point was completely lost, and the OP is interested in the s:flo2, so this conversation is a dead issue.

And yes, the Beta Brainwaves are a decent cheap set of iem's, so they're worth the extra $10.00.

Yes, the S:flo2 is interesting, but I have not decided on anything yet. I will wait for the new Cowon J3 and see what it's like.
Regarding Rockbox, is it not possible for iPod 6g 160 Gb?

No, sorry, but only up to the iPod Video 5/5.5G.

Pity. Is there a technical reason for this, like for Touch or iPhone, or is it "just not ready yet"?
