Also, what other braided sleeving are out there besides Techflex?

They're called Helping Hands, and you can buy them anywhere (even Radioshack). You might also want to look up a Panavise, I've heard good things about those.

Fry's and Harbor Freight. Harbor Freight is usually CHEAP for these.

Fry's as in the HUGE electronic retail chain? Funny, I checked there and I couldn't find anything...

After seeing this thread, I went and bought some from amazon for a small project. There cheaper than I expected.

Fry's has all kinds of awesome DIY electronics stuff, if you move past the DVD section. Components, every tool you could dream of, Fluke multimeters, Hakko irons, etc (although I couldn't find a 12MHz crystal there the other day)

I love Fry's for tools, but I can never find components I need there. They have a lot of ICs, caps, resistors, just never what I need. Of, course, last time I went there for a 4.99 tube of solder and end up leaving with solder, another tip for my soldering station, two CDs, a candy bar and an Arduino kit...

Incase anyone from Australia pops into this thread, they are called Helping Hands here too, and can be had for $10 @ DSE stores.
I'm somewhat intrigues by the little clamp he has that is attached to the black board that says "Graphics". Looks like the sort of thing that would be perfect for soldering cables up.
