Follow the description on the website. Quite simple really.

Here's a handy link to dfkt's post concerning the Rockboxed Clip+.

Just flash your player with the bootloader and extract the Rockbox firmware in the root of your player.

Rockbox: Clip+ - Sansa Clip / Clip+ - abi>>forums

Make sure you have it set to MSC mode. It's under USB Mode or something similar in the settings menu. If it's not in MSC mode or set to auto, it will end up not installing correctly. Follow the instructions, and it'll install fine.

Read the ABI thread in full, the last version to work best of all was probably r25316, latest versions since have had various issues. The Rockbox team is aware & working hard to resolve the issues, but a fully working stable release is some way off yet.

Rockbox on the Clip+ isn't and hasn't been considered stable since it's release, the ABI thread explains most, if not all of the known issues.

Funman & the rest of the Rockbox team are working very hard to resolve the issues, so please lets all give them all a break i.e. not requesting this and that feature.

Remember Rockbox is free and no one is being paid for it's development. They all have life's and jobs in the real world that come first, not to mention development of all the other Rockbox ports.

All I can say is so far they have done a phenomenal job, Rockbox really makes the Clip+ shine.

Indeed. I just put more music on my internal memory portion since that seems to be working much better than the micro SD at this point. Much, much more stable playback for now. Wish I thought of it sooner. Wish I had a Clip+ with 64GB of internal memory too...

Cheers guys, got it working. Looked more complicated than it actually was.

You've got to use the file browser. The database doesn't work yet.

Bit the bullet and rockboxed an 8g v2 this evening , and wow, love it!
That lovely EQ was my motivation, gives me the ability to assign custom ones to individual recordings if need be.
But the standard flat sound is also very nice indeed.
Might do the + once i am confident with this.

Thanks to the rockbox folk!

I'm assuming you mean r25443.

My V2 build is r25435, not sure how recent it is, but still impressed how nice it sounds.[playing through amp er4 passive eq at mo]

Probably well behind on build , haha no doubt will forget about it and still have this one while everybody else is writing to memory

It is indeed r25371 - as far as I know the daily builds are really more continuous builds, so you will have multiple ones per day (or perhaps I flashed an old version accidentally)?

Looks like this mornings 25447 breaks SD again

That's the thing, the file browser can't even view any of files I have stored on It.

Do you know where you have them saved? It sounds like you may have put music on in MTP mode. You could delete everything and put it back on in MSC mode. Either that or keep looking around in the file browser until you find them.
