SansaClip+ Rockbox Impressions thread

For the time beeing I switched back to the OF. I like to have a library with all music in it (internal flash + microsd).
But I'm still hoping for a working RB version for the Clip+.

First time Rockboxer here.

I supposedly installed it correctly, my Clip+ booted up fine and it works perfectly, but now when I plug it back into my PC (Windows 7), it doesn't detect the USB Clip+... Any suggestions?

Thanks

Boot with the OF. Hold the home button while the Clip+ is powering on.

This rocks! So far it's rock-solid for me

I wonder if I should get a spare Clip+ before Sandisk decides to change the hardware again

Some thing I have been wondering about: would it be possible to feed the decoded WAV to USB Audio via the USB port? That would give for a nice small USB source (to be used e.g., with E7)

From what I read there is no LO support w/ rockbox, its one or the other and only applies to the fuze as far as i know.

check:
SanDisk Sansa c200v2, m200v4, clipv1, clipv2, clip+, and fuzev2

I now have them on my V2 and plus.
All seems nice thus far with the clip+ having had more burps than the v2. [none so far for v2]

Great, very great news indeed.

But what the heck do you mean with "burps"?

Write support is enabled, but it looks like stability isn't nearly as good as the non-write v25348. I've been using that version for weeks and it is very good, almost no issues even with my 16gb card.

I haven't tried the new version myself, but from time to time will check out feedback here on this thread and also:

here: Rockbox: Clip+ - Sansa Clip / Clip+ - Page 13 - abi>>forums
&
here: SanDisk Sansa c200v2, m200v4, clipv1, clipv2, clip+, and fuzev2

I think write support is great and I'm very happy they cracked it, but my Clip+ is an everyday player, so stability is a lot more important to me. I'm sticking with what I've got for now until the new version is more stable.

OK so I was wrong, it is still quite crash and freeze prone on the Clip+ but in fairness, with the write support it is a lot more useable than before..

Just ordered (FINALLY) my 8gb Sansa Clip+. Managed to get a cheap 16gb miroSD card as well. Really looking forward to it.
Especially with rockbox with write support coming out,

Great to see write support and SDHC card support on my Clip+ when Rockboxed. One question though, is there a way I can add tracks to playlists like the "Go List" function on the original Sansa firmware?

EDIT:  Its ok I managed to figure it out myself.
