I recommend getting the MKIII. It is a better value.

Hi Carldwards......Good to hear from you| But they will really only give you a glimpse of what the headphones under discussion here are capable of sounding like |

The Little Dots are good value but are strictly entry-level gear. If that's as far as you intend to go (or can afford to go), one of the models may work for you. But they will really only give you a glimpse of what the headphones under discussion here are capable of sounding like. I had the MkIV for quite a while but kept "demoting" it to a secondary rig every time I picked up something better. I ended up selling it. Nothing wrong with it, just not particularly revealing or detailed when compared with better...and everything I tried upstream was better. Good luck.

| I completely agree. If you never heard a really good amp, then you would think little dots are great. Once you hear what a really good amp sounds like then you realize that the little dots are decent but not great |

Please remember I am a novice at all this...I am just trying to find a good balance for my set up which is not Audiophile by anymeans...

| [For this purpose, the Little Dot amps will do a great job. There is no doubt that there are more expensive amps that will sound better - but in my opinion, it is better to start with something solid and inexpensive (the Little Dots are both) than getting a super-high-end setup right away. If you feel the need to upgrade, you can still sell the amp and get a better one. |
but otherwise I will go with the Little Mk III?
