Advice on headphones for BASS

I have some entry level full-size cans. HARX700, ATH-AD900 and I was wanting some good basshead headphones. I been reading and people have been recommending either the D2000 Denon's or BeyerDynamic DT-770.

Question is there any other basshead headphones.

Also, there are a lot of different dt-770 models....pro, 32-ohm, 250 ohm..... whats the difference between them?

Any recommendations for some good dead bass headphones.

Might look at the Audio Technica M50 or Denon D1001/creative aurvana live.

You can try the pro900 from ultrasone. My dt770 pro and denon 7000 didn't reach their quantity of bass.

Yeah I was considering CAL's/D1000's recabled because some have said that it recabled it close to D2000 stock... M50's.... is it good deep bass?

That's a little out of my price range.

What kind of bass? You have deep and fuzzy bass and you have deep and defined bass which in the case of the Sony MDR V6 can be quite textured. Do you want to hear the plucking of the snares in Funk and Jazz or are you into Rock or Electronic music?

I don't understand the meaning of 'dead bass.'

I second the ATH-M50. Their bass is great, if not overly heavy (though they definitely are bass leaning.)

how would the ATH-M50 compare to the DT-770?

HFI-780, I'd suggest.

Since you said something about recabling, those are suppose to improve with a recable as well.

x2 on the 780s. They have nearly as much bass as the 900s and are a lot cheaper.
