This is why I sold my HD580 and kept my RS1 as my main headphone for music. I'd take a energetic sound over soundstage any day of the week for what I listen to.

I found that the uDac's warm sound synergized quite well with the SR225, given their slightly bright sound. The D10, by comparison, which was much brighter with my opamps was often painfully bright with the SR225. You might consider the tape mod to boost their bass even more.

I run the grado sr225i setup with the udac as well. I find the sound a lot warmer sending the signal through my sony stereo receiver for better bass response.
