IC: My entire home headphone setup (beta 22, buffalo 32S, Sennheiser HD650)

Hey folks,

With my kids getting bigger, listening time is getting replaced with other more interactive activities. So I'm thinking about getting rid of my home setup. It's the stack on the right of this pic (from the Norcal meet a few weeks ago.)

(Moderators... I'm planning on a short cross post to the source and cans section if that's ok. If not, please let me know the best way to proceed.)

1. *SOLD* Buffalo 32S with 3 power supplies (1x LCDPS and 2x LCBPS) and just a toslink in. TRS out in the front with XLR out in the rear. Also has volumite controller. The power switch is kinda touchy so I may have to replace it. I've had bad luck with Bulgin switches... this is the third one I've had go bad. (case is 2" high, 8" deep, 12" wide)

2. Beta 22 - 4 channel with twisted pear joshua tree attenuator. Gain of 4. Also, dual mono with separate PSU. The trafo for the JTA is in the PSU case as well. Volume knob is usually around 12-2 o'clock for my listening levels. (sigma case is 3" high, 8" deep, 12" wide, beta case is 4" high, 12" deep, 12" wide)

All three cases are parmetal. (notice the optional side handles... nice touch IMO.) The umbilical is a super beefy (14GA) 8-wire job with neutrik speakon connectors.

3. Sennheiser HD650's. Stock except that I've terminated them with unisex XLR plugs. (The reasoning was to be able to use them straight out of the Buffalo as well as with the Beta as the outputs of the two are opposite genders.) They're about a year old and don't have a ton of use to be honest. I would be hard pressed to tell them apart from brand new ones.

I'm really happy with the entire setup. It's really shown me what headphones can do. There are probably others who can describe the experience with this kind of stuff better than I. Needless to say, it's pretty good. This is an opportunity for someone looking to jump in to what could be considered a reference setup all at once.

I would consider splitting it up to sell off the DAC/amp/headphones separately. Here's my initial thought at pricing.

Headphones: $300
DAC: $1000
Beta 22: $1200
Shipping CONUS: Probably $30 for the buffalo and $50 for the beta. Headphones would probably be around $20.
Paypal Fees: I'll split them with you... 1.5%

If you want the whole setup, I'll take care of the shipping and paypal fees.

So there you have it. Let me know if you have any questions.

EDIT: added dimensions above. Also, internal pics here:

Actually, no payment sent yet, so sale is still active. Maybe sale pending is misleading.

Just the buffalo sold... I'm gonna hang on to the Beta for now. Need a new source though!
