I wanted to open a new Thread about the Best Sounding Player/DAP and why?
I my opinion and after i have tested i belive:
-1.SANSA FUZE
-2.iRIVER H1XX
-3.iRIVER H3XX
This is my opinion after much listening with those players with W3 and Shure Se530 PTH.
Tell us your opinion and wich is the Best Sounding Rockboxed Player and Why?

I belive that Sanasa Fuze V1 is the best sounding Rockboxed player.
What do you guys think?

Hard to say. The Fuze with Rockbox does sound good, but it hisses more than my other favourites: iPod 5G. Of course, it has better linear bass response, but still...

My iems are not really THAT much more sensitive than your Westone, but even less sensitive earphones will hiss with the Sansa Fuze. I hear it with all of my earphones but the AMP3 included buds. It isn't bad, but it is worse than my iPod touch, and with amp engaged, worse than my iPod nano 1G. It is much, much better than my: AMP3 Pro2, Sony 828, 845, a Studio and some headphone amps.

My H120 sounds slightly above average compared to other mp3 players that I have tried. It has an honest neutral sound signature, but if you are using a full-sized headphone, the internal amp is something to bypass because imo it decreases soundstage fullness very unforgivingly with nonportable headphones.

So iRiver 1XXX Series sounds better then Fuze Rocboxed? How can you compare the sound?Wich is more clear and detailed?

I've been a Sansa man since the m200s. Haven't heard the Clip+ yet, but so far the Fuze is leaps ahead of the e-Series.

For what it's worth, my Fuze doesn't hiss at all. Then again, I don't amp IEMs.

The H1xx will be the best sounding....if you choose to use it's optical out. Otherwise, the headphone out is pretty comparable with other options.

My iPod 5.5G/RB sounds great to me, but my iPod Mini w/32GB cf mod sounds just as good - better even, as the bass has better adjust-ability on it.

Too bad I'm waiting for a completely stable version of RB to test on my V2 Fuze,.................. That would be a better choice for me to compare I believe: Fuze vs iPod.

It will be good to hear a direct comparation of Sansa Fuze V1 vs ipod 5.5 gen RB.
