In terms of wedding rings I find it useful as it has ensured I have well documented images of said uniquely designed rings should the worst ever happen - so I'd have the funding, a recent jeweller's valuation of value/worth including detailed specs, plus detailed images of the design, to try and replace the rings if those unfortunate circumstances ever arose (which I pray they never do).
