B-52's "Cosmic Thing" Audio Fidelity HDCD Remaster

It's absolutely terrific. I have always liked this album a lot, in spite of not really liking the most popular track "Love Shack" that much. But "Roam", "Channel Z", "Topaz", "Deadbeat Club", "Bushfire" - all great songs.

The remastering here is great. Audio Fidelity makes a big deal about the fact that they don't over-compress levels when they remaster, like so many do, and the sound benefits greatly from this in dynamics. There is a very warm, inviting sound to this CD. Highly recommended. I wish they weren't $25 each, but for this album that I really dig, it was well worth it for me.

Awesome Skylab. I bought this CD when it first came out in 1989. It NEEDS a remaster for sure...excellent record!!

You guys will definitely be glad you did. Just like Fido2 said, a great album that needed a remaster for sure. It's so nice to get such an improved version of a classic like this.
