I see the sale in the post (by a one-post member) is over, so I will post this for future occurences of this headphone. I owned a pair of these once. I bought them in Thailand for $50 about eight years ago. These are NOT a high end Senn. The retailed new for about 90 dollars. They looked fun, but construction was just okay (with creaky exposed springs) and the sound was fair. They must have been built like a retro/novelty item by Sennheiser for an anniversary or maybe a planned "executive gift" line. Like the kind of gold-plated and leather stuff you see on clearance at Macy's "For Dad!" But because you dont see many pairs and they're hard to research, people spend too much on them. I saw one headfier get conned for near five hundred dollars for a pair. Poor guy. A fair price of a used pair of these should never be more than a $100-125 - and thats basically just as a conversation piece. Just FYI. And in the poster's defense, he doesnt make an high-end or valuable claims about these phones, just a matter of what people think they see, I guess.

Thanks very much for the informative heads-up, chadbang. I had no idea the above was the case.
